Mosaic

Our mission

A permanent home for the people who make independent films.

Mosaic is the professional network and production workspace for independent film cast and crew. We believe the people who build films — the invisible hands behind every shot, performance, and frame — deserve tools, recognition, and a community built specifically for them.

What we do

Three things, made for independent film.

The record

Verified filmographies, credits, and public profiles so every cast and crew member owns their body of work.

The toolkit

A private production workspace that carries a film from script lock to festival strategy — including tracked call sheets on Create.

The circuit

A discovery network of people, companies, and releases where craft matters more than clout.

Why this matters now

Independent film needs its own infrastructure.

The industry is consolidating at the top while the ground floor is more creative and fragmented than ever. Mosaic exists because indie filmmakers need tools that treat their work as seriously as the studios treat theirs.

The middle is gone.

Streaming flattened distribution, studios tightened their gates, and the old pathways for indie film — sales agents, development deals, festival buzz alone — stopped reliably opening doors. Filmmakers now have to be their own producers, publicists, and distributors.

The tools were built for someone else.

Industry databases, casting platforms, and production software were made for agencies, executives, and large budgets. Independent filmmakers get stuck paying for features they don't need or cobbling together spreadsheets and group chats.

The work is scattered.

A film's life is split across hard drives, social feeds, festival portals, and disappearing messages. The people who made it lose the connective tissue — the credits, the relationships, the proof that the work happened.

Community is infrastructure.

Independent film has always run on trust and word of mouth. Mosaic makes that network visible and durable — a circuit of filmmakers who can find each other, vouch for each other's work, and carry momentum from one release to the next.

How we help

For the career. For the production.

For creators & crew

Build your career.

  • Keep the record straight.

A permanent, public filmography that belongs to you. Claim credits, approve claims on your projects, and build a body of work that outlasts any platform or job board.

  • Be found by the right people.

Casting directors, producers, and department heads can browse your dossier — headshots, reels, vitals, and real credits — and reach out without middlemen.

  • Plan your release.

Plus unlocks the Festival Strategist and release-planning tools, so your finished work actually reaches festivals, buyers, and audiences instead of sitting on a hard drive.

For producers & directors

Run the film.

  • Run the whole production.

Mosaic Create turns the Toolkit into a working command center: budgets, schedules, sides, locations, and tracked call sheets that send by email and SMS and confirm receipt.

  • Build your department in one place.

Find and book cast and crew from a directory of real credits, then manage contracts, contacts, and call times without switching between ten apps.

  • Own your company's home.

Production companies get a studio-grade page — full slates, rosters, and aggregated credits — so your slate speaks as one body of work.

Built by Moon Era

Made by filmmakers, for filmmakers.

Mosaic is built by Moon Era, an independent film company. Every feature started as a problem we faced on our own sets — lost credits, scattered schedules, festival deadlines we missed because they lived in twelve different tabs.

We are not trying to replace Hollywood's infrastructure. We are building the one indie film never had.
